Mher Aabeghyan Museum

The Mher Abegyan Museum was opened in 1990 in Vagharshapat. The collection is based on the artist's paintings and drawings bequeathed to his native city. For many years, Mher Abegyan was a teacher at the Art College named after. F. Terlemezyan, at the Yerevan Art and Theater Institute, and was the chairman of the board of the Union of Artists of Armenia. Mher Abegyan is known as a master of various genres of fine art such as landscape, portrait, still life. The artist's contribution to the art of graphics is significant: he worked a lot with charcoal, pen, sanguine, was engaged in etching, but preferred the technique of etching, linocut. Abegyan's works also have been presented in the Tretyakov Gallery and the National Gallery of Armenia.
