Fioletovo

The village of Fioletovo is located in the Lori Province of Armenia on the bank of the Agstev River. The absolute majority of the population are Molokans. Molokans are Russian Christians who were deported from Russia to the Caucasus in the XIX century for not accepting the Orthodox Church. Now they are a national minority in Armenia (15,000 people). Modest lifestyle, traditional and strict moral norms, diligence and tasty food are the main characteristics of the culture of the Molokans, who have been living peacefully in Armenia for several centuries and are treated with respect by Armenians.
